Capstone Portfolio Journey Journal - Module Eight Reflections:

"A degree on a wall means you're educated as much as shoes on your feet mean you're walking. It's a start, but hardly sufficient."
- Ryan Holiday

Module Eight was definitely an opportunity to catch my breath while getting ready for what will be the most challenging assignment/module of the course: The Synthesis & Reflection Essay - Module Nine. But back to Module Eight for now. For this module we needed to create an annotated transcript that detailed each of the courses we had to take as part of our degree program journey. Ironically, I had started work on the annotated transcript way back in the first few weeks of the course when I started to build out my portfolio shell and starting experimenting with Weebly a bit. As luck would have it, all of that early work and experimentation paid off as we rolled into Module Eight.

The image work had all been done and really all that was left was the time required for the creation of a small three to four sentence write up on each of the courses.

Once I wrapped up my annotations for each of the courses I was ready to present my Module Eight FlipGrid video review:

This was a very welcome break because it is now on to the two-week Module Nine unit and a 2,000 word essay. I dread writing, but Module Nine is it...this is the last major writing assignment before we kick off a few weeks of review and then it will be April 3rd, 2021 for my portfolio presentation to the group! I am really getting excited as the program draws to an end and graduation gets another module closer to becoming a reality! I now need to channel all this energy and excitement into Module Nine and the Synthesis & Reflection essay. I'm almost there...

Cheers,
Travis
