Capstone Portfolio Journey Journal - Module Ten Reflections:

"Curiosity, passion, and purpose are a launching pad toward the impossible."
- Steven Kotler

Sunday, March 28th, 2021:

Module Ten and the peer reviews! Yes, we are definitely in the home stretch at this point and I initially thought that Module Ten would be one of those modules where we might be able to catch our breath. I was definitely mistaken there and surprised by the pressure that I now felt being responsible for providing two (2) other learners in my 4-learner group with detailed, formative, and valuable feedback on their portfolio and work over the last 10-11 weeks in the course. This was an opportunity to help other learners improve their portfolios in the run up to the grand finale of the Capstone course: The Final Portfolio Exhibition!

Here are my review notes for Jennifer S.

I have always felt that there is something lost in translation when you only have a written text and I wanted to make sure that I was providing both of my peers with thoughtful, insightful, and valuable feedback so I decided that in addition to the written peer review for their sites, I would also do a video, but I just ran short on time.
I can actually see the the light at the end of the tunnel at this point in the course. April 3rd, 2021 at 9AM is when my 4-learner cohort will get together via Zoom and perform our Portfolio Exhibitions! That will be the end of our journey in the Capstone course at Michigan State University and for many of us, the completion of our respective master's degree programs. While there is certainly a feeling of excitement, there is also a sense of unease not knowing what the future has in store for me or on which path I will embark next. It is both a blessing and a curse in a way.

Well, we are now on to Module Eleven...the FINAL module of the course! Time to get ready for my portfolio exhibition! I am enjoying this process so much and will hate to see it come to an end.

Cheers,
Travis
